Iv been looking for 2 weeks so here I am. Does anyone have alot of information about this swap. No how to do it but specs, dyno hell anything other then it will increase the air flow in the engine by 200%. Thanks

you will need a late 20r head and an early 22r block. you will also need the 20r intake manifold, but you can use the 22r exhaust manifold. you should also look into adapting the 22r carb over to the 20r intake because the 20r's had a water choke. I am not completely sure on all the details but it does have a few more little things you need to look out for.

also. it does not increase air flow by 200%, it just increases air velocity into the combustion chamber.

good luck..

please when talking about the 20r/22r hybrid conversion, please state what year your truck is. this makes a major difference in what will and will not work. Better yet, add this info to your signature and you won't have to let everyone know and noone will have to ask.

now with that said, I am assuming by your screen name 82hilux671 yours is an 82 using the 82 22r block. Your timing chain should be a dual row timing chain. which means your 20R head is also a dual row timing chain so yes, it will work.

if the block is from an 83-84 22r then that would be a single row timing chain and cover and the dual row 20R head will not work. You would have to convert the single row timing cover etc to dual row for it to work.
