water in my oil

long story short: I have a 93 toyota trk 22re that had water in the oil, I replaced head gasket finished last night put oil in it and water detected small water leak on the intake(pipe to heater core). to fix it the oil filter was in the way so I drained the oil and to my disapointment 3 qts of water drained from my oil pan new to yotatech I guess I have a cracked block ??

Are you sure the water in your oil wasn't from the blown head gasket? In other words, did you clean it out before the HG and now it's mixed again?

thanks for your reply. I drained the oil befor doing HG. and it was clear water that came out before the new oil started to come out. I did not clean the oil pan after draing the oil

Sounds like another timing chain guide gone bad. Pull the valve cover and check the timing chain for slack on the driver side. Sometimes when the guide breaks the chain gouges into the coolant passage int the timing chain cover. Check https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...s-have-201749/ there is a picture that shows what I'm talking about.

do a compression check u will know if you have a crack in the head or blown head gasket..

pull your valve cover off, and look down into the timing cover and look for wear marks..

thats what i would do before i got carried away with anything

There was a timing chain wear mark on the drivers side of the block next to the cam sprocket I was told not to worry about it Sorry about the terminology Im a very inexperienced mech could that be where the water is leaking in?

pull the valve cover offf and have look see down inside of the timing cover.. get a nice bright flashlight and shine down into the timing cover and see if you see any nasty wear marks from the timing chain slapping the timming cover...

if you dont see anything you will already have your valve cover off to pull your head off..
