Question Stuck Nut on my shock!

Hi Guys...I have another problem with my yota....I was trying to replace the front shocks Last Friday after replacing the U Joints I thought gosh I'm allready on the ground what the hell.....I started with penetrating oil on the top lock nut (1) on each side.I let the oil work it's majic for about 30 min and put wrench on the nut and another on the square top so the metal shaft would not turn while trying to loosen the nut.I have done this many times before but this time the nut wont budge!....I have striped off the square part of the shaft just above the nut and now I dont have any thing to hold the metal shaft from turning and the nut is on solid and I don't know what to do now to remove this nut so I'm stuck...........Any Ideas thanks for any help
....Dwayne

If the shocks are getting replaced just use a Sawzall, cut through the shaft.

giver means the same as have atr... you know just giver man

grab that air chisel or a bimetal blade sawzall batter power will work and cut it out.. or use some big as vice or pliers to CRUSH the shock and get a big ass break on there maybe some heat .. and wax and crack that s.o.b if the yota makes you too mad... take a break ..overnight works best for me and have atr tommorow bright and early!

i dunno if you guys got thrust down in america but ill tell you what it works so much better than p.b blaster that i would call p.b blast a waste of money! there i said it

If you used somthing other than PB Blaster, you wasted your time.PB it,put a large pair of Vise grips,or chain grips on it,then take off the nut.

i just use an air grinder to take the bolt off if that doesn' then heat it up with a torch and if it's still stuck use a sawzall

About a year or two ago that happened to me on my old truck, I cut it off with a hack saw... It took me hours of just sawing, sawing... don't go that route unless it is your only option!

Grab the shaft with view grips and use heat to remove the nut, or just grind it off.

Or just put a socket back on with an extension if you can make them fit. Or, put a box wrench on. Then just twist and snap the stud right off. I've done it many times on the front IFS shocks to that upper stud and nut.
