Sticking Throttle After Weber Carb Install
Long time lurker, first time poster. I searched and read about 15 pages regarding similar problems but couldn't find anything that helped so I thought I would post this...I have a 82 pickup with a 22r, I installed a new weber carb and the engine runs great but I'm having one problem... my throttle sticks. Whenever I push the gas pedal and let off the RPMs stay the same, it doesn't come back to idle. If I rev the motor from the carburetor it works perfectly. I've tried moving the position of the pin in several different holes in the throttle plate (I guess that's what it's called) and adjusting the tension on the throttle cable every way I can think of. I went back to the instructions that came with the kit and verified that I installed the linkage adapter correctly on the valve cover, I'm totally stumped. Any advice would be great!
Thanks,
Chad
