spool locker

i tried posting in the offroad enhancement thread, but once again my account wouldnt let me post in the thread i want to, but anyways im getting the complete third members for my pickup and im getting 488 gears with a detroit locker in the back and spool in the front. someone told me i shouldnt put a spol in the because i would be better off with something open, but the spool wouldnt be engaged unless my hubs are already locked right?

I guess the real question is whether or not you want to turn while in 4 wheel drive. If not, then a spool in the front is ok. Or, you could try and turn and continually break axles.

I would skip the spool. When locked unless you are in deer guts like mud, they resist turning. Leave it open, least that would happen is you have 3 wheel drive.
