Newbie here, with a ISR question...i only have one Hose??? why 2 fittings?
Hi guys, my father currently passed away a year ago, and left me his 1998 toyota 4runner limited w. 130k miles.
The car has been in tip top shape, all oem parts and every possible maint. needed was done.
I currently own the runner now and use it once it a while when neccessary.
The car has some miles on it now, so i dont want to stun it with anything crazy.
[W. my experience...after the modding comes the worries.]
I am planning on doing the ISR mod this weekend, but curious about one thing.
Ive seen on the writeups everyone has 2 fittings, for a fuel line?FRP
I only have one hose running to the small resonator, and i did not find any other additional lines??? where would i find the other hose
i read this thread https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f130...-2000-a-75168/
and the other write up and still confused a little.
My resonator looks like this,
There is no other hose...??
thanks in advance guys

I think this might help a little. I have a 94, so it might be a little different than yours. Your engine may have 1, 2, or 3 of the following hoses going into your intake.
1. A hose that taps to your airbox (maybe through a silencer/muffler) between the air filter and the afm/maf. This hose is simply for getting clean air to an accessory on your engine, and needs the air whether or not the maf is letting air through.
2. A hose that taps between your maf and throttle body, and goes to the same general location as 1. This hose serves the same purpose as 1, but only gets air when the maf is letting air through. This may also have a muffler/silencer attached.
3. A hose that taps between your maf and throttle body, and goes directly to your valve cover. This hose is for oil, water, and fuel vapors leftover from the combustion process in the valves that needs to go somewhere, and the environmentalists make us put that goo back into our engines to burn up (and cause sludge).
Basically, if you just have one hose that isn't connected to anything, make sure it gets what it got before. Except for the sludge hose, maybe put a breather on the end instead or put a catch-can filter onto the hose. The second method is the legal one, I believe.
