Hi and a couple of questions

Hi everyone new to the forums here and excited to learn lots of new things. I just bought a 1984 Toyota pickup with a 4 inch lift and 33inch tires. The only thing is that it has stock gears so it will probably be a little slow. I have read that 4.88 gears are the best option for 33in tires. It drives fine now, but I'm thinking maybe down the road to change them. My question is how much does it cost to change the diff gears front and rear? Also is it very hard?
Thanks

The 3rd member is easy to remove and install, but difficult to setup unless you have experience. I'd say remove the differential, take it somewhere so they can do the gear install and setup, then re-install it yourself.

I just bought 4.88 gears for my rear for $145 shipped on ebay. They are USA Standard Gear brand. A setup kit will cost about $160 +/- from WabFab. However that's just for 1 axle. Or you could just buy fully built 3rd members from WabFab, Marlin Crawler (many others) for around a little over a grand, depending on what you want in them (locker, spool, whatever).

Back with some more questions. Does anyone know where to buy a carpet kit. I found the website stockinteriors and was wondering if anyone has had experience with them?
Also what product works the best for removing grime from plastic interior parts?
