Fake ball joints, (pictures)

Dear Guys ,

I Bought 4 ACdelco ball joints in a well, very well known online shop.
i saw the picture, and trust in acdelco products. they coast me u$ 52,00 each one. Ok I received my 4 acdelco s, but when open the box (acdelco box), my surprise: poor, bad quality parts. It wasn´t the picture parts I bought on the web site. There´s "CENTRAL CORPORATION" brand on the bottom
Is it normal ? Don´t believe this poor parts are made under USA Acdelco supervision.

I´m affraid to put these "things" on My 4runner.

I would appreciate some coments.
Pictures, to have experts members opinion.

The Picture I saw on the web store:

The parts I received:

Counterfeit parts in a "genuine" looking box are nothing new. Contact whoever you bought them from for an explanation or see if one of your local parts stores has an ACDelco part you can look at to compare to what you got

Those definitely don't look up to standard, I wouldn't use those nylocks on a go-kart.

Thank you guys for comments !

I did a contact with the well known store, sent them the pictures and here´s the answer :

" Thanks for your email and I'm sorry to hear that you are disappointed. As -edited- noted, we don't have any way to determine where a particular vendor is sourcing their parts. Many companies do outsource production to outside companies. By opting to rebox someone else's product, ACDelco is essentially attesting to the quality of the parts. ACDelco does still consider these as their own parts and back them with their warranty. If you would like to return these, please let me know and I can generate a return authorization for you. "

is absurd and I was injured because the part that came under the ACDelco name, is exactly the same found for $ 13.00 if I want to buy the worst ball joint found in the Chinese market.
For me, I understand that if I purchase ACDelco, I'm buying parts that power GM cars.
I was wrong !!!!!

I would contact ACDelco themselves as it seems someone is giving them a bad name.

I guess I am puzzled that AC Delco makes parts for Toyota? I have never seen one part made by AC Delco for Toyota. That would be my first red flag.

I would highly doubt AC Delco would warranty a part that is fake and I doubt they would be on the hook in the court of law. The liable party would be the one making the fake parts and they would be a little hard to track down in Korea.

snobdds, gonna have to disagree with you on this one, have you seen the new ACDelco commercials? They are pushing the fact that they make parts for different manufactures.

My guess is someone bought the cheep ones and ACDelco ones and returned the cheap ones in the ACDelco box.

Why not go with Toyota balljoints. I paid less than $52.00 each for mine

I can understand that happening at a store like autozone and/or napa. But these were ordered online. O.P. only said well known online supplier but has not said which one. I have seen this with the whole FA5040 idlers as well though. Maq. vs 555 vs ??? etc etc.

crazy. for those interested, I bought a set of Beck Arnley BJs off Amazon for like $25/ea about a month and a half ago and they were the "555" Japanese-made BJs that everyone seems to like.

Wow !! lucky man !! I saw the Beck Arnley pictures , and seems to be a very good part. But i´m affraid because as shown on the store e-mail reply, the brands have a lot of sources in diferent countries. Maybe if I order the same link on Amazon, I receive a terrible part, in the same Beck Arnley box as you.
