can I get a aftermarket tank?

My truck is a 2002 v6 3.4l Tacoma and I have a fuel leak. I had a look at the tank and did not see any leaks but the smell of fuel is bad. The tank also looks like it took a hit from the previous owner and is bent up under the skid plate.
Where can I get a aftermarket tank? The local dealer wants $1200 just for the tank. I did a search but can’t seam to find anything. Any suggestions ?

Pull the tank and take to radiator shop, they should be able to fix it, if there is a leak.

How about $429 + shipping from a Toyota dealer online???? Part number 77001-04170, yes?

Or $415 + shipping from here (another online Toyota dealer in Tacoma, WA):

Geez, sounds like someone didn't want to mess with it.
In the last 2 months, I've had a leaky gas tank in my 54 Ford tractor cleaned, dent taken out, brazed up two leaks/pressure tested for $65. Also the tank in my 81 Toy 4x4 that been setting for 6 years, was cleaned, sealed and pressure tested for $85. Both at the local radiator shop.

Thanks for the link guys .....

The P/o must of hit the tank and bent it causing it to form a sharp crease, my guess is after time the crease flexed and tore fuel started to drip. So my tank has no rust on it or in it, but a big dent.

I Live in Newfoundland Canada

the list cost of a tank at my dealer is $1100 + 13% tax
I can get the tank from the dealer for $850 + tax
I can get mine rebuilt at a local shop for $600 this includes getting it lined
called all the scrap yards in the phone book no one has one thats good
even had a local shop call contacts down in Arizona they did not have any

I called the toyota parts east link he said 426$ but they dont have one, he did a search and found one in Massachusetts but they will not ship to canada

so i am thinking i am going to try to bend out the dent and weld it up .....

I have never had problems getting aftermarket parts for any of my trucks but i am guesing the aftermarket is not supporting this year due to the limited number of them out there due to the frame recall ?
