Alternator upgrades?
My alternator just died. I am adding a winch and would like to up grade my alternator. Would anyone know of a replacement that would bolt in easily?

Automotive Exchange and Supply in San Diego will build you a new alternator that puts out anywhere from 100-150 amps and comes with a three (3) year warranty. No Core required. I have a new amp from them that I think is rated for 130 amps (I forgot exactly how much). Cost was about $150 and it was a direct bolt-on.
OR
Send them a core, and they'll return a rebuild to your specs and it'll cost you less.

I just posted this last week. I went this way so that I would have a lifetime warranty on the Alt instead of the 3yr that come with most of the High Outputs.

Hey thank u for the info. So know I know what path to take. Well I would think its a given to replace the wire from the alternator to the battery. To handle the power.
