Talking 89 pickup leaf springs

Howdy, I was looking into getting a pair of greasable shackle kits for my 89 toyota pickup 4cyl 2gen bodystyle, the site says 79-88 pickup and 89 4runner, does anyone know if they will fit?

Also, I would like to get about 2 more inches of lift out of the rear so would a 5", 5.5",6" do that for me?

Thanks everyone

An 89 pickup is a 3rd gen truck. The one with the more curvy body.
A second gen has the more boxy styling.
So, what do you have?

I bought longer shackles to get the "butt sag" out of my '88 4Runner. The guy at Marlin Crawler said every inch of shackle, longer than stock, will give a half inch of lift. I don't remember the length I bought, but it was one inch longer than stock and I got a half inch lift. The truck looks and rides just fine now.
So, I'd say measure your current shackle length and do the above figuring for your desired results.

I don't believe they will fit. There is a page on 4x4wire that lists the different leaf springs, check there

scuba, do you know off hand if the difference is the frame width or the spring width?

quoted from TG site:

"Narrow rear shackles fit 79-88 Pickups and 84-89 4Runners. Wide rear shackles fit 89-95 Pickups."

so im guessin its the spring hanger width thats the difference between teh 2??
