I am trying to swap a manual in my '87 auto 22RET truck. Will the pedal assembly, flywheel, and clutch work from a donor '87 22R truck? I know its a 5 speed but im not sure which series of transmission it is? Also, what transmissions and clutch/pedal assemblies would work with my engine?

also, i forgot to ask, will the pedal assembly out of a 1987 4Runner fit my '87 truck if it had the 22R engine and 5 speed transmission?

Any 84-89 pedal should work. I made a 91 pedal fit in my 85

I dont know if this will help but check out one of my old thread www.yotatech.com/f116/22rte-w56-228013/ , I have a 22ret auto as well and i want to use the 22re 5sp tranny (w56).

thanks Brad3902, your thread was very useful. The only question i have now is, does every 5 sp transmission that was bolted to a 22R, 22RE, 22RET have the same number of splines on the input shaft? If they do, then that would mean that all the clutches/flywheels are interchangeable?
