86 4Runner 22RE dizzy question
The air gap is larger then what the FSM suggests.
If I understand this correctly air gap is the gap between the black thingy (with the two wires) and the thing with the 4 pointy things (center).
So I rechecked this today and the gap is like 5 mm as you can see on the photo.
This is bad I take it (I have a whole thread about the 4runner not starting)
I noticed that there are two screws holding in all the stuff for the pickup coil. Can I just replace that or to I need to replace the whole dizzy? Or can I readjust that piece so it's closer?
If I need to place it, where can I find that part? I know a parts yard but other places.
Thanks!

loosen screws and slide over till you have correct gap between magnet and points on the "star". Use a feeler gauge. Check the fsm for your year for the correct gap if you don't already have that info.
