Strap22's New Toy
2004 V8 4WD 4Runner with 49k on it. Clean inside and out one owner. Picked it up Wed. night. Thursday put a Donahoe suspension all the way around. Sent the ARB bumper out for powder coat. Friday installed ARB bumper, lights, and CB. and put a set of 255x75x17 BFG MT KO's. Not real happy with the tire size but it drives great. Gas mileage is better than my old 3.slow was and that is not saying much. Looking for some ideas of where to mount my CO2 tank and Fire Extinguiser. Sliders are next and than the ARB Lockers. I am happy to have so much done already. Can't wait to try it out on the Trails.

Thanks..We got a lot done in 4 days. I still have to adjust the front end since we put the bumper on and I really would like to get another set of wheels and tires for wheeling. I just think these look too small. My old rig I ran 33x12.50x15's and they looked a lot better. I know I won't be able to clear that size on this one but when I replace the upper control arms I should be able to run 285x70x17's without andy rubbing issues. Got a lot to learn about the the 4th Generation 4Runners but this one should last, so I will have a lot of time to learn. Any recomendations would be welcome.

Nice looking Phil, very nice replacement rig.
Looks great for just picking it up, it is amazing from what a few mods will do.
For the upper UCAs, I could not be happier than with the Total Chaos ones I had installed about 5 weeks back or so.
Their website is doing something funky right now though.

Yeah, I have been looking at those and some others. It all depends on how much $$$I left. I really think the tire size is too small but Chris and Jacque think it is the right size. I am going to try a couple different sizes.

Nice Strap!
I've been thinking about running the 255/75-17 BFG MTs for awhile and would be interested in hearing your on and off-road thoughts. I would think they would be a good compromise for a DD. I appreciate any input you can provide. Nice build, I look forward to your future mods.

E-lockers are not availablefor these. I will be putting an ARB Air Locker in it after Christmas. Not sure if I will be putting a front locker in. I plan on only using it for mild wheeling since it is a DD.
