Oil Light after timing Belt change
I have a 2005 4Runner limited v8, 90k miles. Only non-stock mod is a 2" lift.
This past weekend I changed the waterpump and timing belt. I thought it went swimmingly, no issues in or out. Drove it for about an hour around town.
This Morning I got 1 block away from my house, when I noticed the oil light was on. I brought it home, opened the hood and checked the oil level. Perfect.
Any Ideas?
Also, I had to take the radiator out to hit the crank pulley bolt with my air wrench. When doing so there were 2 oil lines. Anyone know what those are for? Smelled like transmission fluid, not motor oil. Probably not related.
Any help would be appreciated,
Markus

I don't know the engine, is the oil pump driven off the timing belt with a tensioner? Is the tensioner...tensioning? Spinning freely? Could also be totally unrelated to what you did. But like said above, check it for codes and trouble shoot from there. Post your results!

Wiring
It took about 2 minutes once I got home and looked at the sensor. The wire running to the sensor was incorrectly routed on re-assembly. I was supposed to run it behind a coolant line bracket. The drive belt wore through 2 wires and fused them together. I'll cut them, solder and heat shrink wrap them. Then wrap it all in a bunch of electrical tape.
Thanks for your help,
Markus
