Daystar lift possible with Load Leveling and XREAS?
Hello,
I have an 03 4Runner in need of a lift. Its a V8 limited with XREAS and the air height control. I've spent a fair bit of time researching options cannot find concrete information regarding the auto-leveling air system option.
Has anyone lifted a truck configured similarly? Can you put spacers on the rear with the factory height control? Do the spacers 'consume' the height that the factory height control provides or will I get my lift PLUS the 1.5" available to me already? Can the factory XREAS shocks support this (ie not be overextended)?
Do I need to worry about the height control sensors getting confused about the apparent 'negative weight' associated with the lift?
One option is to only lift the front and leave the rear alone and use the height control for the rear when off-road. This limits my lift on the front as I clearly don't want the front higher than the rear when on-road, but would be better than nothing. Has anyone tried this? What would be the recommended amount of front lift in this case? (I'd really love to get more than a 1" leveling kit).
All comments appreciated!
