Get some bucket seats and call it good, there more comfortable than the stock bench seat.

I am in San Diego, issue is this is my only car so i can not really have no seat for the few days it will take to get the other one redone.

i am fine with spending 100-200$ on this or going to bucket seats

i really like the bench as well, i think ill go to the junk yard and buy a used bench with the same 4 bolts put that into the car.

then send the original to a shop to be redone i am not in the mood to start drilling holes into my pickup.

std cabs have no back seats, after some long thought bout it. if it sags downward in the back just make a bar. to raise it up or level it bolt it and roll. but i miss the gap for space with bench seats .

If any of you want to make your factory bench seat a little firmer use a piece of carpet behind the springs. I did this on my 87 and it make a world of a difference.

To the OP, sometimes you can find a factory OEM seat cover on Ebay. They fit the best and most universals.

The original bench in my '91 reg cab 4WD didn't have springs of any kind. The only suspension is the foam itself, which means it can never do the suspension job AND be firm enough to be comfortable. Got used buckets out of a gen2 4Runner, never looked back.
