These mods should cost you nothing, unless your truck gets impounded for looking like an abandoned vehicle.
Take the seats out too. Just liquid nail a plastic milk crate in front of the steering wheel. As long as you have your seatbelt on, I think it'll fly under the long arm of the laws radar.

Is there a way to run cold air enclosed? like has anyone made a box so it is not always sucking mud and dust? I have considered it yet that has been the only drawback for anyone intending to stick the truck in the elements. I guess it kinda defeats the purpose tho.

Mmmm, I assume that you mean "of" and not "off"....
Regarding the statement:
"suggesting timing advance and higher octane fuel in the same sentence have nothing to do with each other"
I suggest your re-read my statement as that is not what I said.

Run synthetic oil. K&N air filter(keep it clean). Make sure she has NO VAC leaks. Advance timing lots. I would not run high octane fuel but thats up to you, does not make much difference in 22r's. Weight reduction? headers. new o2. man trans? new clutch. TUNE-UP!!!! PLugs, plug wires distributor cap, rotor button, coil, valve adjustment. The 22r is not desgined to be a super booster 0-60 in 3 secs engine. Its a truck engine designed for towing and 4-wheeling. just clean her up and deal with it you have a very reliable and durable engine designed mainly on longevity and reliabilty. so just drive.

I heard a saying once: You can only have two of these three things, cheap, reliable, quick (powerful or what have you).

You could advance the timing a bit and use higher octane gasoline... but I'll give you a wooden nickle if you really honestly notice. Gaining horsepower is expensive.

You could make the most out of your available horsepower by regearing your differentials though- you WILL notice the difference there.

Alright, thread cleaned up, vacations issued.

Aren't 20 year old testosterone laced males supposed to be out partying instead of fighting with your purses?

Let's play nice. You are interrupting my time.
