What are these called?
Very simple and probably stupid question, but what are the little pastic caps that bottom out on the lower control arms, when the steering is fully to one side or the other, called?
I just want to know what to order when I go into the dealer. Mine are rubbed all the way through and make that horrible scraping/ripping noise when I turn tight into parking spots. I assume they just pop off and back on.
The PO never greased them, so they are rubbed through to the metal, which hopefully won't make it impossible to get new ones on.
Thanks.

Just throw some grease on em and call it good. On the piece where the plastic is gone and the bigger piece that doesnt move.
Mine are rubbed down a bit but they make some noise when i turn in to a tight spot. Threw some grease on em and called it good.

Yeah, the local stealership here wanted like $6 for each of those caps. I laughed, then re-greased them...
Edit: Or you can try this new mod I came up with. Just wheel a lot with the wheel at full lock while dropping off of an obstacle. This eliminates all noise from that stop. Then repeat 3 more times...
The only issue with this mod is that your pitman and idler arms might start rubbing on the frame stops. But that's not a big deal, because that's what they're there for, right?
