stumped, R150f question please help
hello everyone, first off i would like to start by saying i have searched extensively to find the answer to this question on multiple toyota forums, and have not really found what i am looking for. So here we go, the truck is a 94 pickup 3.0, R150f, 4x4. the transmission went out a couple of weeks ago at 140,000. It started out tough to get into 3rd, like the stick would not travel far enough, and would pop out from time to time. then it started doing the same thing in 4th. After that i pulled the trans and discovered a good amount of play in the input shaft bearing as i wiggled it left to right and top to bottom ( i realize the shaft should slide in and out). problem is every used trans i find has at least some play similar to this. i have been told everything from rebuild it (the new junkyard one), to "the pilot bearing takes that play out, so just put it in" SOME ONE PLEASE HELP I NEED THE TRUCK TO BE RELIABLE AND I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS. btw 140,000 is actual on truck thats not a typing error

i dont have the original trans, i traded core on the best junkyard one i could find, which has a lil play but obviously not as bad. it supposedly has the same miles as mine which is why i am skeptical to put it in (because i have been told a bad input shaft bearing was the cause of the las one goin out, and it was bad in the original trans) has the R150f ever been known to have defective input shaft bearings?
