high pinion refers to where the pinion shaft enters the differential and also determines the direction of rotation of the ring gear- high pinion turns the opposite direction of a low pinion... unless the ring gear is on the opposite side of the pinion gear.

You dont need a hi-pinion 3rd. Thats only really needed in the front axle of a sas'd truck. Even then its not always neccesary.

Install your body lift first, then you can build all your armor around that. Sliders will be easier to install with a body lift You can also do a engine/drivetrain lift and have a flat belly! That would be great for clearance.

+1,000,000,000,000,000 on the locker.

I have 35's but it means nothing if you just spin, I wish I had gotten a locker first but oh well.

Due to school, my funds are limited, but I will have about 900 buck in about a month or two.

I'm thinking about starting with a ProComp 4" lift, but I just bought a new set of 31.10.50 KO's so it will look kind of gay unless I can sell these and buy a new set. Was thinkin about just doing that block kit that 4Crawler.com has for about 2 inches. But I will need new shock(?) for that and I just bought a cheap stock set from Napa.

What do you guys think I should do and where should I start?
Thanks,
Percy
$900 would break down nicely along the following lines:
  • rear Aussie locker $250
  • OME rear coils (level it out) $150
  • OME shocks $350
  • BJ spacers and alignment $200
  • swaybar discos $50

That's $100 overbudget, but perhaps you can sell your body for an evening or something.

Screw the lift until you learn to drive the truck.

Could you give me some hints on where some good places are to find those parts? Is it possible for me to install that locker. I do have some experience with Dodge 3rd members.

Ahem, remember Matt, he has the v6 drivetrain. If he wants to run a rear aussie he will have to swap in a 4cyl rear 3rd member.

If you want to keep your v6 3rd, run a lockright.

I have a 93 4Runner. I'm about to install OME-901 coils and N72F shocks on the rear and the BJ spacers and N98s on the front. In the near future I plan on instaling ARB air lockers front and rear, then either build or buy front and rear bumpers and sliders. Should I continue to run the stock 31x10.50s? Or should I eventually move up to 33s?
