"Stand Alone" harness and/or engine swap adapters
I have access to a ton of wire diagrams and have been making harnesses since around 2013. Would there be interest in what the derby guys call a stand alone harness? Basically it's an adapter that plugs into the engine harness and ecu and you connect it to the battery to make the engine run with out anything else in the vehicle hooked up. Would work well for rock crawlers, mud buggers, etc where you don't need all the under hood features, fuses, etc. Alternator power comes from that harness too, and the wires to kick the alternator on, I think AC related wiring is there too.
Figured I'd check to see if there's any interest, even if it's just to test an engine and bypass all electrical systems to make sure an engine is good (say in a wrecked vehicle with shorted out wiring).
Here's one I built for a 98 camry to give an idea what it looks like. I used oem/used connectors to build it, I have connectors on order to make it all 100% new. Clearly black is ground and red is +12v.
The whole idea behind the harness is remove as much wiring as possible to make a vehicle run and move (derby logic). For automatics, I'd have to research the shifter select switch and make sure it's hooked up to the ECU, and the speed signal comes from the gauge cluster so that might be required to use drive instead of manually shifting 1st, 2nd etc. Manual trucks of course don't have this issue.
