shock boots or no shock boots?

I am going to be putting cruiser coils and balljoint spacers on pretty soon (as soon as I have a free weekend). I am also putting on new shocks and I was wondering if I should use the shock boots or not? I tried searching and couldn't find anything. Thanks,
Chris

IMO no mud and crap gets in them and plugs the tiny water drain holes then your shaft is always sliding and scraping through the dirt/rocks and could lead to pitting of the shaft and premature wear out of seals

I am also against the wearing of shock boots.

Ditto.

Shock boots on. Are you just looking to show off the shiny shafts? If they came with the shocks, you might as well put them on.

I've run them both ways. It doesn't matter. Run them whichever way you think looks best.

Shock boots are a waste of time...kinda like giving a pig a bath.

my yellow truck had 3 shocks with boots and 2 without. shafts stayed as clean either way, boots get ripped and crummy looking usually.

if you play in deep mud for any time they get full of grit and wear out your seals

shock boots are for show trucks just no use on a real truck

Thanks for all the feedback. Yotatech is awesome! I think I will be going without the shock boots after all. Thanks again,
Chris
