shackel lift good or bad?
I replacing my stock springs in the rear of my 91 toy. They seem to be pretty worn due to hauling rock and dirt for long distances the past year. I currently have 3 inch blocks in the rear and am trying to decide wether or not to go with 1 inch blocks, and a 2 inch shackle lift. Or just stay with 3 inch bocks. I dont want downeys 3 inch add a leaf and lose all my flex. does the shackle lift afect flex at all. axle wrap doesnt seem to be a problem.

sounds like an AAL would be a good bet. don't get some super stiff 3" kit, just a 1.5" or so AAL from a better company, and then use a 3" longer than stock shackle. anything is better than blocks.

yep i second that...get the rancho soft ridel aal or alcan aals then run longer shackles. but wait if you're replacing your rear springs why not just get lift springs or swap in some chevies/waggys to get lift and not need bandaids
