yeah im hoping that the sag will not be as noticable when i get the BFGs put on next weekend,

btw thanks for lettin me know about the holes hjkmotor

regardless i probably will still do the shackles as you guys suggest, the PO did a good job at regular maintenance, kept it real clean, and even rebuilt the 22re, but he didnt wheel it at all as you can tell

Im guessing from the pics that the rear springs are pretty flat ( not the typical smiley face shape) if that's the case, I would stay away from aal kits and maybe even the lift shackles. If anything I would look for a set of used leafs that are not as flat, throw those on to see where youre at and if necessary get the longer shackles.

yeah, I mean don't get me wrong, it will work fine. If you think about it its pretty simple, if your leaf pack is flat, then getting longer shackles or a aal will just add more height to the stock flat leafs, You wont have much for flex, and the ride wont be super plush.

yea this is really true, when i do springs, im gonna go with jcwhitney ones when i get the money, but if i did the shackles next weekend i won't hurt anything will i? i can deal with the limited flex and rough ride for now as long as im not damaging anything important having longer shackles on flat springs for a little while

you should be fine, I would just try not to flex it or abuse it too much. How are your rear shocks, those may be part of the reason its so saggy, Im guessing the previous owner hauled stuff.

honestly i would have no way of telling you how the shocks are, most likely stock since he didnt wheel, but yes this was just a farm truck for him and hauled stuff often i could imagine

yeah you should be fine, just keep your eyes open on craigslist for some shocks and leafs, i would maybe even make a trip to pick and pull. I'm also pretty young (17) so I know how it feels to be on a tight budget ha.
