Rear power window Relay Beeping
Hello everyone
This is my first post, I've tried searching this site, and the internet for my problem, but have come up with nothing so far.
I have a 91 4runner
One day my rear power window relay starting beeping after driving in the rain, even when I pulled the key out it kept beeping. I also noticed that I wasn't able to put the rear window down. So I pulled out the rear power window relay, and got a used one from a local auto wrecking shop. Once connected I have no beeping anymore, but the window go up or down using the key, so I tried the inside switch, and the window goes down, but it won't go back up, and when I try to put it up, I hear beeping again but it doesn't do anything.
I've tried to play with the rear window wiper as suggested in other threads, and the lock mechanism for the window, without any success. I'm afraid to pull the window down all the way, in case it won't go back up, as I don't have a garage to store my 4runner in.
Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

I had an aftermarket relay buzz like a buzzer (in my case I would not call it "beeping", though). It turn out to be a bad ground. I clean and reattached the ground wire and all is well. Whether or not this is happening to you I can't say.

Can you tell me where this ground wire was attached? Was it by the rear window relay, or in the tailgate somewhere.

I was just saying to consider checking your ground circuit for that relay.
