PCV system
In the pcv system when i disconnect the hose on the driver side valve cover at idle should i have vacum at it or does it draw through that side? I also picked up that check valve you posted about and am in the process of installing it.
Also is mega squirt hard to install in tune i figured theres a learning curve im most likly leaning that direction for fuel managment. Unless there are better option. But no one has documented mega squirt on a 3vze.

I do not have vacuum at idle on my rear driver hose. I think I detect a little vaccum when revving it up. I do notice that the hose end is oily and I believe it to be a blowby tube that puts it back into the intake. I've been driving with it vented to atmosphere with no ill effects whatsoever.

Thanks for the PCV info i went ahead and plumbed it like stock but with a check valve from a brake booster at the local parts store. Now im having another issue with it leaning out not even in boost just at 0 vacum i think its a bad fuel pressure regulator because i can disconect the vacum hose and nothing happens when watching AFR gauge it stay at 14.7 at idle and still leans out at WOT i havent tested the actual fuel pressure yet. Since im unsure of exactly how to i know harbor freight sells a $20 tester but am unaware of how to connect. If theres another way to test fuel pressure im open to ideas.

Glad you figured that out. On the 5vz you connect the regulator to a boost and vacuum source (intake plenum) and when the regulator detects boost it will increase fuel pressure. They call it the "free fmu mod" or some such. I was using the stock 3vz fuel pump with 7psi boost with no problems so your pump is good at least til there. I use straight meth for extra fueling and it comes in at 1psi. As soon as the meth hits the afr drops to low 12s even in closed loop. Might be your easiest and cheapest way out. Use a big nozzle like a 10-12gpm. I have a nice progressive controller but it's not necessary. A simple boost pressure switch should do nicely.

Do you think it would be possible to use a 3.4l fuel pressure regulator sense its already set up for boosted application.

Well I researched a little more how the 5vz regulator works. From Gadget himself: "With the fuel pressure regulator connected in the stock location the fuel pressure is 43.5 PSI over atmospheric pressure. If you have it connected to the boost port it will self adjust so that it is 43.5 PSI over MANIFOLD pressure. If you have it connected that way, you eliminate the boost pressure differential and eliminate it from any flow calculations.

The 7th injector fires with a 1 psi pressure switch. It will hold 2psi with no added fuel from 7th injector. But i dont think the computer can ad enough fuel underboost it just doesnt know how to compensate. Because as you said earlier the fuel pump puts out enough for 7psi so if only there was a way to adjust fuel table on a stock ecu.

Bone stock, under WOT open loop condition the ECM pulls the AFR to about 12.5 based on my experience with the 5vz. In closed loop, the ECM tried to keep it at 14.7:1 stoich. So unless you are meeting the criteria for WOT open loop, the ECM will stay in closed loop and won't pull the AFRs rich. With your added 7th injector, at WOT open loop you should be seeing below 12.5 at 1-2psi
In closed loop operation, if the 7th comes in at 1psi, your ECM will cut fuel to primary injectors to keep stoich at 14.7:1 even though your 7th injector is activated.
With your stock fuel pump, assuming it's in good condition, I would suspect in WOT open loop with your 7th injector firing properly I would think you should be good to 5psi.
My only confusion is that the 1psi pressure switch activates the 7th injector, but does it put it at 100% duty cycle? That may not be the correct term, but does it spray 100% capacity once it's activated?
