My New Toy 89 4Runner
So the other weekend I picked up a new project, an 89 4Runner 3.0, 5spd, 31x10.50. I have always wanted a 1st gen 4Runner and now I have one
Pick this one up cheap as it had been sitting for a couple of years and wasn't running, a new battery and starter and some new wiring I got it running last night, now I just need to replace the slave cylinder and bleed the system, bolt on a few items that had been taken off (taillights rear bumper and a few others) and she will be ready to hit the streets.
I haven't decided what exactly I am going to do with this truck. I always wanted a 4Runner but wanted a 22RE, since I've never driven the 3.0 I should at least drive it for awhile and see how I like it. If I keep it a locker in the rear, 33's, armor and a few other improvements are in the near future!!!

Not yet, heck that pick was just a cell phone shot right after I unloaded it from the trailer. The interior is dirty but I think most of it will clean up nicely!
Took it for a quick test drive last night and I liked it. It didn't seem to have the low end that the 22r has but seems to have a nice power band I can't wait until its truly road worthy and I can really see what it has to offer
