interior panels
My 89 has the tan interior in(which I`m not too crazy about). My dash has a crack in it, and Im gonna replace it with a grey dash pad that I found in a junk yard. What I was wondering on the rest of the interior is, would it be easier or better to replace all of my panels and carpet, or could I just get some interior panel paint and dye the carpet. I can get all of the interior out of the junkyard, Seats, carpet, headliner, and all of the panels.

I took the carpet out and pressure washed it, came moslty clean, smells great
Found some leather seats that work
cleaning out the duckting system for smell and dust
I'm in search of some carpeted panels w/ speaker mounts like the tacos... not sure they exist.
looking for a honda civic console, I like the cup holders and it is the correct width for between the seats
the dash IMHO would be better replaced than painted... but I guess some of the new paints are really good, so ????
While all the stuff is out may be a great time to add some sound proofing, costs though:cry

really up to you, if found a great full interior in great condition for a good price, go that route, it takes more work but you may be happier. I have read a few threads on here about interior dye and paint and they seem to work well also, good luck and post some pics of the change!

I want to swap to grey instead of the tan thats in it now (my bad, I should`ve clarified that in the begining). I`m also going to find some bucket seats to replace my 60/40. While I have the seats out Im gonna either clean and dye my carpet,or get some good grey carpet out of the junkyard. The drive side door pannel is broke at the bottem front corner so it will need to be replaced. My main concern with paint and dye is 1) durability & 2) does it look good if prepped corectly

swap in the gray and order a new black carpet! yaaay! I had an old s15 jimmy that read "blue" on the title, but was converted to black and red. I never managed to get out of the car without having some of that black spray stick to my shoes or arm or something. I recommend you don't use that on anything that will... well... just don't use it.
