Headlight Switch Issues

Headlight Switch Issues
On my 94 Yota pickup the switch that turns on my parking lights and then headlights work fine, but when you push the switch forwards or pull backwards to engage the brights,it shuts the lights off completely. That has been the case since buying it. But now the headlights will just randomly shut off while driving. Is the problem the lever/switch $100.00 or the dimmer that attaches to the lever and steering column $70.00. Has anybody else experienced this? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The switch that operates brights usually just get a little corossion on them. You can take the switch aparte and clean it. I have it listed in my #199 post in my build thread.
If you need to replace it, usuall you can get them off of ebay or bone yard for around $40.

Thank You Terry!
I cant believe it! I have brights and my head lights stay on. Used a finger nail file lol and some electronics solvent.Blew it out with air. and tada!!! Had to buy the puller for $18. Small price to pay for having lights. Wish i would have known this years ago. Thanks a million!!!
