Engine swap - How to make the A340 work?
Hey folks,
Just working out the last details of my engine swap (vw diesel). Only thing I haven't been able to confirm - is how to keep the A340 automagic working... Yeah yeah - w56 - unfortunately requires a knee swap to work too
Anyone able to shed some light? I'm sure I need to retrofit the TPS onto the new engine, but what else is needed - want to eliminate as much of the factory harness as possible, but I get the feeling I need to keep the damn computer for the transmission?
Thanks in advance,
Andy

Shifting the trans.
Do a google search for AW4 shift controllers, there are several options out there from small computers to simple switch setups. Also there are a few threads here of what guys have done. The AW4 and the A340 series are the same transmissions.
