take a look under your truck at the frame/body mounts. If you see something that looks like a spacer between the frame/body-you have a body lift.

This is honestly one of the best things I've ever done. The coils in the back take one hell of a load and even with an empty bed they make the ride great. It probably rides better than stock since the coils and leaves share the load. The coils also won't ever sag or lose capacity like leaves will.
Aside from the welding it all looks pretty easy to do. I've never welder, but I can have a friend do it. Or maybe this is the project where I learn to weld on my own. Thanks for the links. They'll help a lot.

find someone with a mid 90'S ford F350 turbo diesel 4x4 and let her go off road with them then she will really know what it is like to get tossed around.

Thing is we dont even have to leave the road to feel like we're off-roading. The roads here are so terrible. Sometimes I take the dirt country roads because they're smoother than the actual paved roads.
