Question. Does the ecu provide voltage to the b+ terminal on the test connector. Thanks

More questions. Should the ECU have voltage to it at all times or just when the ignition is on. Also were is the voltage to the ECU coming from. Yhanks

No. It comes from the battery so as to be able to bypass the ECU to test other components.

Just when the key is turned on. Voltage comes from the battery through the series of fuses and the main relay. The ECU is supposed to be activated by the ignition switch. Which is one reason I asked if the CEL came on when you turned the key to ignition. The CEL light not coming on means power is not getting to it and can mean the IG switch is bad or the relay or fuse.

Alright. I've checked all fuses,relay,and connections. I found 1 lose wire repaired it and have power to the ecu with ignition on also the cel. Still have code 51 and engine very hard to start and only runs if patting accelerator but skips and misses. I rechecked the timing and it's good as far as all notches lining up and the #1 cylinder tdc. Could the ecu being bad cause this. Thanks
