I checked for leaks and really came up with nothing. no air comming from any place. This was the 1st thing I checked, but no luck with a leak.

There have been a rash of thefts in my area on Toyota "Cats". I guess they are getting good money for the Platnum to buy crank or pot or whatever they trade our stuff for. You should pull that "Cat" off and see if it's hollow just to prove to yourself that it wasn't hollowed.

Does your 'runner run good now? I never saw your response that said it does.

Your guy said the "cat" had a small clog in it, but that just doesn't seem to make sense to me. I also don't think you can repair them. I hollowed mine out thinking it might be causing my hesitation problem and it did take a good 10 minutes. I found out well after the platnum was gone that it was worth money and I also found the source of the hesitation to be the fuel damper banjo on the fuel rail.

Also, if your state requires the "cat" for emissions, then, in my opinion, your mech. did break the law by modifying it.
