Second that Scope. I should have mentioned the line wrenches. All you need is two of them. They normally have the next size down on the other end so you can get a 10-12, 14-17 in two wrenches. Fuel and brake line nuts tend to round off easily and they'll double your grip surface.

On the filter, I normally take the downstream line off the filter first so I can get an idea of the flow restriction. No real way to measure but after you've changed a hundred of them, you'll know what is normal and what completely clogged looks like. Sometimes, no fuel at all will come out and it'll spray everywhere when you break the upstream line loose. That's a great feeling because you know why your truck has been acting sick or won't hit at all.

Thanks Scope and Charchee... I do have a set of flare nut wrenches, so once that filter gets in i'll get to handing that before everything is back in place.
