Blue Loctite Performance on Wheel Spacers?

The working temperature range of Blue is up to 300F degrees. Is that enough for wheel studs into spacers? If anybody has had experience with installing and then removing spacers that have been "loctited" with Blue I'd like to hear how the stuff worked. -- Matt

Blue is for small fasteners, up to around m6. Toy wheel studs are m12.

I'd use red, if I was loctiting it. The important thing is to properly torque your inner wheel lugs with a torque wrench.

Maybe so but it seems to work fine. Red is designed to be removed with heat. PITA.

I use a little red on mine and torque to 100 ft-lbs and forgetaboutit.

Red will come off without heat with an impact if you don't put too much on there. You just have to clean up the threads a bit afterwards.
