blower speed
So i slowly lost my heat/ac blower switch, it started to only work on low and high, then only on medium
I switched out the blower switch with a working one and now i notice i only have 3 of the 4 settings, the setting right before high doesn't work. I replaced the resistor pack but it didnt change a thing.
the old switch had a charred burnt connector on one, i figured it shorted out when the ball bearing inside popped out and was rolling around.
I replaced the resistor pack but it didnt change a thing.
what else could be stopping me from having all my speeds?

I am interested in this as well, haven't touched the switch yet but replaced the resistor. I am hoping that switch comes out easily and the medium 2 is shorted to low somehow haha.

It has to be a switch/wiring problem. http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b.../25heater.pdf/ Swapping parts will never find the problem, you just need a voltmeter.

my switch was messed up and would only work on certain speeds also. it then began to not work at all. couldnt get my switch out so left it. then summer came along and i just grounded out one of the wires (forget which one) now its on full blast when switch indicates lowest setting and no other ones work, better than not having it at all.

My switch was pretty easy to get out. Reached behind pulled the wire connector out, pop the bezel light bulb back, put a punch on the switch face and gave it a tap came right out.
