.. i guess this could fall under all about you prefrence and what you can spend. but for header i would go with doug thorley, and for intake just put on a K&N open cone filter on the end of your intake tube.

"Best" is an open question. Best header is a DT, best intake is a Supra VMAF/battery swap and Spectre contained cone with a snorkle feeding it........... in my opinion.

If you run street punch the intake through the valance to get good forced clean/cool air. If you run rocks cut through the hood for slow movement air. If you run mud/water run a snorkle or pull from the cab through the firewall.

Very close to my set up no snorkle YET but the supra afm (Thanks Junkers) with the L.C. Engineering Pro Street head (I am sure engnbldrs Pro Street head would be just as nice and it and it's $500 cheaper) engnbldrs 268 cam makes a very nice set up I just did the valve re-adjustment after the first 350 miles on rebuild and what a difference it is not a v8 but for a 4 banger it out runs/pulls my 90 4runner 3.0 both on 35's with 5.29's.
