ball joint spacers is this really a good idea

not scared off, working. And trying to work on my truck and be a dad all at the same time who needs sleep. Once I saw the pic of the truck with the spacer on one side only at full droop, it made alot more sense to me and I think I will try to fab up some on my own 100 bucks seems pricey for what is involved. I would imagine steel would work just as well as aluminum. I do appreciate everyones comments

Over all, steel would work as well as aluminum but AL saves a little bit of weight so the shocks don't work as hard (yeah, not a lot of weight, but some).
and you'll still have to mod the upper arm (ie: cut it) to give enough clearance for the spacer to bolt up.

I have bought 3 sets of these and installed them on my personal rig, and two of my buddys rigs and they are holding up well. We beat are trucks and even jump them a little bit.

oh alright. i took a look at the arm and it looked like i could squeeze a bj spacer in there without having to do any trimming, but that's not too much work to do. what shocks did you guys use?

1992 ifs ball joint spacers
I had some camber issues bt I sort it out.
it is working bt I have an issue when i engage the 4wd(hi and low) bt i have to check the suspension.
