any door lock upgrades out there?
My 86 extra cab was broken into about a year and a half ago and they semi-messed up my drivers side door lock. I have since installed an alarm with the door lock option so I rarely use the locks. I noticed the other day that someone went to town on my pass side and it is now unuseable. Are there any aftermarket locks that are more durable?

You can always wield them shut and use your remote key to trigger a relay to put your window down and crawl through. or not wield them and open the door after the window is down.

mod in a gun safe lock or something, I dunno
I've never seen "upgraded" type locks for any vehicle in my life
you might be SOL for something to just bolt on...

one thing you could to is to fabricate a sheet metal shield for your lock mechanism, they are fairly common to the VW aircooled crowd. basically it makes it much harder to slim jim your door. of course, if you ever lock your keys in, it makes it that much harder to get back in.

When i bought my truck it came with circle locks in the doors. That's right I said circle locks. Just like alfio said. I'll see if there is a vendor name on them..

There was a company like Medeco or Mul-T-Lock that was offering a lockset that was pic proof and retrofitable for ignition sets but I can't remember the name...

All it takes is one of these:
I've done it myself on a motorcycle brake disc lock to see if it could be done. I was highly annoyed when I was successful in unlocking it.
Not all rotary locks can be picked this way, though. I was dorking around in the office breakroom and gave the vending soda machine a try... those locks are much better quality.
So there's hope for this lock set, I'm just curious.
