hi the other day i flushed my heater core and now me after market temp gage is not working right. it will warm up to about 100 and stop there till it hits 190-195 and then it drops back down to about 160 and after driving for a bit it starts working right. i tryed to burp the system but could not get it to burp even tryed it on a hill any suggestions

It really sounds like an air pocket(s). Radiator at the highest point, remove the radiator cap, start engine and leave running, heater on high, and up get the engine to full operating temperature so the thermostat opens and coolant begins flowing allowing the bubbles to escape.

Did you knock some wiring loose affecting the aftermarket gauge?

no lose wires im going to jack it up and try that. i have a stupid ? whan it get to operating temp how does it let the air out if my radiator cap it on will it burp out of the over flow reservoir i took the cap off when it tryrd to burp it the first time im new to this but i know not to take it the cap off when it is hot thanks

Sorry, I was not clear.....the radiator cap needs to be OFF during the burping process....I amended the order above. Have some coolant ready to add as the level drops after the bubbles escape.
