Thumbs up BudBuilt Frames + this guy and his unreal fiber panels

There is definitely potential for extreme off-road Toyota's built completely from aftermarket BudBuilt Frames and these unreal cool fiberglass body panels. Holy Cow, Man, you do great work. Keep it up! That 4Runnner went from farm barn rusty to unbelievably gorgeous in your care. You Rock!

slacker: I've talked to you about it before, but I have the attention span of a goldfish, so bear with me. How much work is involved in installing a set of your pickup bed sides? Is it something a regular backyard mechanic could do?

Just out of curiosity, how much would this job (everything you did) have run for a customer?

I asked him this one on another board, I think he said the project was $5800Cdn. No specific price break downs.

Not cheap, but defonitley done right.

Wowzers, how much would some custom fenders cost? like stock, with 3in trimmed out of them? And a bed?

Looks sweet!

Where in BC are you? I just met a guy today who also has a toy and he mentioned someone in Penticton who does fiber glass for Toyotas.

I tried to read all of this, but may have missed something. I hate to resurrect a dead thread, but...Is glue the only thing holding those fenders on? Are they really that secure?

Thanks,
-Hayes

Actually, a great deal of new cars have a lot of body panels "glued" to the vehicle. Structurally, it is quite a strong method of bonding, done right. Google 3M autobody adhesive, or something similar.
