Oh yeah just ordered my performance accessories 3" Body Lift and white wagon wheels with 3.75" backspacing from www.summitracing.com, total was like 260 bones with shipping, wheels were 35 a piece, if I don't like the white I can rattle can 'em.. Hey Jay, did you get shifter extensions with your kit? Everything have enough slack? I'm hoping my gear shifters won't interefere with each other.. but if it does I have a torch..

4crawler has some stuff here about extensions: http://4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/Body...lTransmissions
but you might want to look for a 'short shift' kit.

oh kay... so I guess the 2" and 3" extensions aren't what you're looking for...
(having trouble with understanding the 'hack up the floorboards' though...)
sounds like a short shift kit with lever extensions is what you want.

the extensions PA is supposed to send you are 3" lengths of 1/2" steel that you cut your shifter near the base and weld onto to raise it up to avoid shifter bindage and whatnot, if you don't do this sometimes you have to cut the metal plate and part of your floorboard to get the shifters to not interfere with that..

Yep, I got the 2 3" peices of cold rolled steel. I had a guy cut and weld them in where the instructions specify (there is a specific spot to cut+weld). When we installed them my shifter was hitting the t-case shifter in reverse. So we dissasembled the two peice shifter (to keep it from burning) heated and bent the shifter up and to the left. In hindsight I wouldve bent the t-case shifter instead. That gave me tons of clearance but I was still having a little trouble with reverse, I did the shifter boot invert mod (not really a mod ) and that gave me full use of all gears.
I didnt have to trim or bend the floor to clear anything
p.s good call on the wagon wheels

What is this shifter boot inverting everyone is talking about? will I have to do this? You'd think if I cut and welded in the correct spots I wouldn't have any problems because it would just be raised up three inches and angles wouldn't change at all.. All I have is rubber shift boots, they say invert the lower boot, but IDK what the heck they're talking about..

Well, its pretty much impossible to keep the shifter from warping a little during the process of cutting and welding them back together. A little adjusting will probibly be needed in order to be able to hit all the gears.
Depending on the model of your truck you will have 2-3 boots covering your shifters. I removed the SR5 vinyl cover and it exposed the black rubber boot. I just pushed that down so it was an inverted cone. That gave just enough clearance to hit 4th and reverse with no issues.
4crawler.com has some pictures/info about it Took 5 mins, be carefull of the staples in the boots though, I got a nasty cut from one....

My shifter only has two boots, one under the black rubber one, and then the top rubber one, I don't have a leather one on top of that.. I hope I don't gotta invert it or its gonna look hella gay...
