4.88 7.5 IFS Diff Swap
Can anyone point me to a writeup or something on swapping out a front differential 7.5 housing with 4.10's and swapping in another 7.7 diff with 4.88's? This should be straight forward from what I see but have not done this before. This 4.88 7.5 diff is all setup and ready to swap right in. ADD stuff already taken care of as it was already swapped into another 4runner before the guy SAS'd his. I need the step by step. yes I will soon do the rear as well so having a writeup for both would be a good score. Yes I understand if I do my front without doing my rear right away I cannot engage 4 wheel drive until the gear ratios match front o back.
Thanks for your help in advance.

BTW, this is a sticky in the 86-95 forum that you posted into.
Hope that takes care of your questions. Have fun with the swap.
edit. I didn't drop the crossmember, just undid the one bolt into the crossmember. Then as I lifted the new diff in, I used that front mount on the crossmember to pin it in so it didn't crush my melon. And alot of guys have used Tofer's idea of knocking out the studs on the diff and grinding the knurls or getting aftermarket nuts and bolts. Much easier to get everything back together, as the cv's and diff line up nicely since they don't bind up on the studs.
