1st Gen 4Runner wrapped with 3M

Rookie wrapper, first time doing so.

3M Wrap Film Series 2080 - Matte Blue Metallic, M227
Not yet complete, but pretty close.
3 weekends invested thus far.
NOT perfect but cheaper than a paint job.
Chrome fender trim, yay or nay?

Wow! Cool!
Yes to the chrome trim. It’s a nice contrast to the satin blue.

Looks good. There's nothing wrong with a wrap.

i'd love the old wheels...

did you change the door mirrors, or are they different each side?

Considering how I wrap Christmas presents I cringe thinking what mine would look like.

it's actually not very hard, a little patience and a blow drier, you'll do alright.

Thanks All!

Door mirrors, yeah I kinda go back and forth but I finally found a matching head on drivers side, so both sides are the same now. Hate to say it but pulled it off an old F150 at the local junk yard.

AR23 wheels, Wifey picked them, I wanted old-school sawblades @ 15x8 but after a year + of searching I gave up.

MaK92-4RnR is correct, patience, heat gun or dryer and buy extra wrap in advance. It's not perfect but got a whole new look for around $800.

Can't leave my 87 alone

Removed blue wrap and went for a more original dark gray color, similar to factory color.
Finished product.
3M S261 Satin dark gray wrap.
BL Vinyl black Matte decals
Very pleased with how it looks now!

Beautiful! Are the BLM vinyl SR5 decals under or over the wrap? Also, who did the wrap, a local place or what? Really looks good.

Edit: Went back to your original post, so I'm guess you personally put on the wrap...great job.

How long can that kind of wrap be expected to last?

I did the wrap, second time trying it after watching many videos.
I just bought pieces, took about a month of weekends doing each body part. Clean thoroughly, and be patient, and make sure you have a heat gun close by.
The OEM decal set was laid on top of the 3M, BL Vinyl sent me a test piece and it stuck well so I went with it.
I didn't trust myself doing the decals, would have to buy a new set if I fubar'd that so I hired a Wrap Pro top stop by and knock that part out.

3M states and average of ~5 years, give or take some.

Cheaper than paint by a long shot!
