1987 22RE - I can't find the problem! Help!

FYI- my 87 22RE Auto (early 87, not the later, mid year changes) HAS A KICKDOWN CABLE. That, not the electronics, would be my first thought.
Power loss could also be related to TPS out of adjustment, it was an issue on mine.
Could be a tronics issue but I'd make 100% sure its not a cable problem first (remember the old adage: "K.I.S.S."
