Zuk mod the front?

Zuk mod the front?
The front of my truck is getting lowers than it used to be, I hit the bump stops when I hit a major pot hole now. I was looking at the zux mod to help with the rear which is also sagging due to the heavy flatbed. Here's the picture of the front.
I'm currently researching how to zuk the rear.
I've also been really getting into trail riding and light rocks. I don't want to build a rock crawler but a little more flex would be nice! How do I get that!! Here's a pic of the rear and of the beast
Just recently got the truck to where I live. It had been sitting back home for 2 years. Now that I have 2 other DDs I have more room to build it up. I'm currently collecting parts to convert an a/c compressor to an oba system.
Please give me any tips or criticism you have!

Oatmeal had a good point on the 2" square tubing, removing that will gain you some articulation. I noticed you still have the front sway bar, you'll gain some flex by removing it. I ran the Zuk mod on the back of my 4runner for a couple years using jeep TJ coils until I could afford a new lift. It helped a lot with body roll and payload, and flexed ok.
Nice looking truck!

I didn't realize that 2" box was something that was added. I thought that's just how it was. I'll be cutting that off for sure! And will probably still zuk the rear. And start saving for new springs I guess.

If you aren't looking for a lot of lift, Old Man Emu has a 2" lift springs. From what I hear they ride and flex good, and won't break the bank! http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/1979-...ion-parts.html

I got those pieces of square tube out today. Should be a lot less bangs when I hit a pot hole now!
Now I just need new springs all the way around.
Also I was curious how the shocks come into play with lift and articulation. Do the affect it?

Unless you get coilover or air shocks they don't provide lift.
they dampen bumps hence the name shock absorbers.
they can limit articulation if they are either too short or too long or positioned incorrectly (ie- someone does some incorrect mount placement)
Edit- a PO probably added those blocks up front to keep the springs from going too Negative (which they already have a negative arch due to age and weight of your bumper)
