Transfer Case Question

I have an 85 toyota truck with a manual transmission, will a transfer case from an automatic bolt up to my 5 speed manual transmission ?, are the transfer cases chain driven and if so can they be rebuilt with new gears and what ever is needed to do away with the chain drive ?.

none. The T-case is integrated on the auto trannies.

there is no chain to gear conversion kit. (first off, there isn't anything "wrong" with the chain drive case. You just can't re-gear it like you can in the gear driven cases.

The conversion from chain to gear is an adapter plate to mount a geared t-case in place of the entire chain driven case.

No, the transfer for the autos is "hydraulic" and part of the total trans.
