Steering Box Slippage + rig pic

Hello,

I got a good one for you solid axle geniuses on the forum here. I just replaced my springs on my 85 SR5 with OME's. Once I got done, as expected the alignment was off(axle farther down, draglink the same length). Going straight down the road has the steering wheel turned to the left. So I planned on putting in an adjustable draglink in this weekend to fix the problem.

So I went to lunch and had to slam the brakes so I didn't rear end some acehole riding their brakes. I heard one very loud clunk from the front. Stopped took a look and nothing was visibly wrong. I get on the road and notice that the steering wheel is straight now as i go down the road. Problem fixed right, ha. So I didn't see anything bent or broken on the steering linkages. Does this mean I slipped a gear or something in my steering gear box? Its always had slop if that makes a difference.

The picture is with OME medium springs (CS008F and CS009R) and 31" muds 15X8 wheels 3.75 B.S. with a .25 spacer blah blah blah.

What you should do now for your next mod is to add high steer and a second gen steering box, that will make a big improvement in your steering.
