well u should a constant power to the main power lead on starter...
u should only have power on the solenoid wire when you turn the key all the way forward to the start switch.

does your trucks start yet????
check all grounds..
a pair of jumper cables lying around can make a great ground when figuring out if you have bad terminal ground leads from the battery..
a new set of leads are pretty cheap. i would go to a 8 gauge set of wires.. from any parts store that carrys lead's

Same thing happened to me, it was a little wire that I knocked off, one of those clips that just pulls apart, the same as on speakers and stuff. I couldn't see it unless i was laying under the truck, just look reeeeaaly hard and close

well i fixed this problem, the wire beside the main one goin to the starter came un hooked. the new filter didnt help any. its still hard to start and gettin worse by the day. i took it my mechanic the other day and the whole way there, especially uphill, it was spittin and sputterin horrible and wont hardly maek up hills. he checked the fuel pressure, its good, and checked the fuel pump, its good. he said he cant figure out whats wrong with it. he had a guy that works on alot of toyotas coem check it out, and he said hed never seen one act this way before. sometimes it starts up easy and runs great, then sometimes he hardly starts and runs horrible. im runnin out of answers. after the PO rebuilt it, it sat fro about 1yr, with only him drivin it about 100 miles in 12months, then it sat fro about 6months. is it possible its jsut got bad gas in it? ive put gas in it twice. it seems liek the longer it sets, the easier it is to start. anybody have any ideas?

have you tried shorting that connector in the engine compartment to get the check engine light to flash trouble codes? Because if it's giving you a check engine light then it probably stored the problem in the ecu.
